This weekend, I’m going to focus on one flick which has been a major influence on my own love for film – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I remember seeing this movie on constant replay on TBS back in the day and I’ve seen it many more times on DVD. I really think its a film that, if you haven’t seen it in a long time, you should pick it up for an evening of laughs.

First off, if you’ve never seen this film, you are missing out on a piece of cultural history. The synopsis is simple – Ferris Bueller is a high school kid who fakes sick to take a day off school. Its that simple. He recruits his girlfriend and best friend and they enjoy all the fun that Chicago has to offer. However, he’s pursued by his vindictive principal and resentful sister who hope to spoil his fun by ratting him out to his parents and delaying his graduation from high school.
